TWIN CITY LINER

Vienna and Bratislava are rightly called twin cities. They are located only 67 km apart. The catamaran Twin City Liner is one of the most popular means of transport on the Danube from Vienna to Bratislava. The interest of tourists is so great that from 2019, instead of two smaller ones, one large, more luxurious catamaran with a capacity of 250 people will operate.

GABČÍKOVO

The hydroelectric power plant was completed in 1996. Energy production from 8 water turbines today covers approximately one tenth of the electricity consumption in the Slovak Republic. When visiting Gabčíkov, it is possible to see the filling of the 34 m wide and 275 m long lock directly from the bridge over the dam.
